A fixer upper home can sound scary and intimidating, but don’t get spooked. Anything in a fixer upper house can be repaired. There are many different levels of a fixer upper house. With a cosmetic fixer, the home may not be exactly to your liking, but everything is safe and functional. You might want to replace the floors, update appliances and fixtures, or do some landscaping, but it is habitable. With a more intense fixer upper house, there may be safety measures or larger repairs that need to be done before moving in. Don’t let either of these scare you away from a fixer upper home! A fixer upper is one of many ways to save money when buying a house in the long term. While it may feel like a daunting task, think about your home five years down the road. With a fixer upper, your mortgage may be lower than a shiny new home, you may be able to afford moving to a location you thought was out of your price range, and you can get the chance to bond with your home and customize it to suit you. 

SHRED THE DEAD DAY

This year, we are excited to announce our free Shred the Dead Day event! In conjunction with the Burbank Association of Realtors and Shred Source.com , join us on October 29th from 4PM-6PM at 2006 W. Magnolia Blvd., Burbank, CA  91506 to shred your dead files and do some fall cleaning. I know I have a habit of keeping old files just in case I might need them some day (and I never end up needing them!) HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The start of the holiday season is fast approaching, and we’re so excited to kick it off with Halloween. I love seeing kids dressed up coming up to my door for candy - and I finally get to wear a mask in a fun way! While the majority of Halloween activities take place outside, make sure to stay safe and stay distanced this Halloween season. There are plenty of fun local COVID-safe Halloween activities nearby, including drive-in movies, the LA Haunted Hayride, and spooky events at local theme parks. We can’t wait to see you knocking on our doors!
